While every new technology implementation can be said to transform your digital landscape, this is not the same thing as embracing “digital transformation” as an organisation. There is a specific mindset related to this concept, as well as methodologies that can be applied when seeking to create this kind of change.

Digital Transformation (DX) will look different for everyone, but overall it can be defined as:
“..the integration of digital technology into all areas of a business resulting in fundamental changes to how businesses operate and how they deliver value to customers” (source)

A digital transformation project will seek first to assess the current landscape of needs and the digital maturity of your organisation through workshops and conversation. This will lead towards a vision statement and set of recommendations on how where to focus to maximise impact.

As the concept of digital transformation and the changes required to achieve it become clearer, a "DX action plan" would be devised with clear timelines and deliverables for moving forward.

This could include:

  • Performing a business needs analysis (via interviews with key staff)

  • Delivering a digital maturity audit (via a questionnaire)

  • Workshops with staff to define and refine a vision

  • Producing a Digital Transformation Action Plan

  • Ongoing guidance and support to the digital transformation process
